NJsmall Founder Interviewed on WDHA’s Morning Jolt
NJsmall knows that when it comes to New Jersey’s economic recovery, small businesses are essential businesses. This is something radio stations like WDHA-FM know to be true, since small businesses are often big buyers of ads on local stations. So when the #NJsmall movement launched, WDHA’s Morning Jolt immediately had our founder Denise Blasevick on air to talk about our unique approach to speed up NJ’s economic recovery.
The #NJsmall concept is simple: if NJ’s big businesses redirect the funds they spend with out-of-state firms and spend that money with NJ’s small businesses instead, we will recover faster. We are asking Governor Murphy to incentivize this behavior by providing a 1% tax credit to NJ’s big businesses when they hire #NJsmall.
THIS IS A SOLUTION THAT WILL NOT COST ANYONE ANYTHING EXTRA. IT’S ALL UPSIDE FOR EVERY PARTY IN NEW JERSEY:
- #NJbig businesses get a tax credit for hiring #NJsmall instead of hiring out of state
- #NJsmall businesses now pay tax on that income, so it doesn’t cost the state anything
- More money stays in NJ, more #NJsmall businesses survive the pandemic, more NJ residents have jobs and can put money back into our state’s economy
Thank you to WDHA’s Morning Jolt co-hosts, Jim Monaghan and Joho, for boosting the signal about NJsmall’s goal: to hasten NJ’s economic recovery by getting Governor Murphy to incentivize NJ’s big businesses to hire #NJsmall.
